Describe the Impact of a Project you’re focused on.

As president of Omega Educational Consulting, my goal is to provide students – both domestic and international – with guidance, mentorship, and motivation to place into the educational institution (from Pre-k to grad school) that would be most conducive to their academic, professional, and personal growth. We go beyond traditional "educational consulting." We literally assist students from beginning to end as they navigate the admission and school selection process. As a result of our work, students have successfully placed into top tier schools.

What results do you hope for when the impact is amplified?

We hope to reach students and families who are in dire need of our educational consulting services. For example, not everyone understands that in the admissions process there is a difference between affordability and admissibility. Students and families don’t know what they don’t know. But we provide more than just information: we provide deep knowledge and decades of experience. With knowledge and experience comes access. With access comes a pathway to a better life.

What do you have to offer as a connector? What can you give as expertise to others?

As a connector, I bring my knowledge of admissions procedures from pre-K to grad school, as well as my connections to different types of organizations. As a lifelong New Yorker, I am able to fit in with people of all backgrounds and across socioeconomic strata. Whether it be an African-American group, a Latinx organization, a professional women's association, or a group of Upper West Side businessmen, I always try to find a commonality that connects me with them. I believe we all have shared commonalities and celebrating those shared experiences is the best way to form meaningful connections.
