Describe the Impact of a Project you’re focused on.

Currently doing final due diligence on a novel vaccine which prevents a very serious global disease affecting millions of people. If its efficacy is what we think it is, this new biotherapeutic (wholly apart from being potentially worth billions of dollars) can save a significant number of lives especially among both children and elderly patients.

What results do you hope for when the impact is amplified?

As noted above, putting a large dent in an ancient scourge of humankind.

What do you have to offer as a connector? What can you give as expertise to others?

Vast network of contacts with global investors in every asset class, stage, structure (funds, co-investments and direct investments) and wise range of geography. Extensive knowledge of alternative investments (hedge funds, private equity and venture capital, real assets) as well as life sciences (deepest in biopharma and genomics given academic background but also experienced in areas like medical devices). Well familiar with process of institutional investment decision making in “endowment model” context. Have also had “new economy” (high tech) C level entrepreneurial experience.
